Ah, the Vanderwoude's made that quote quite often before we left and after we returned.Denver is situated right at the foothills of the Rockies, with mountains on the West and plains on the East. Really neat, actually.Lots of prairie dogs, though. Apparently they're a nuisance, but we'd never seen them before, so they were cool.
