Eleven Days Later...

Callum today. Still raw-cheeked from all the snot-wiping!
Hello, readers (reader?)

We are still here, although recovering from the worst cold we've ever had. What started with a scratchy throat for me two Mondays ago turned into blocked sinuses, painful coughs, sore throats for Stu and I and bronchitis and throat infection for Callum. It's been an exhausting eleven days for us, with little man waking up every couple of hours at night, crying and coughing. We've missed a NYE party, our church's NYE service (well, I did anyway) and our regular Sunday services, plus a family function. Being sick myself and exhausted from not getting adequate sleep combined with the guilt from not being able to attend said funtion (even though he was just to ill to take anywhere) added to the general anxiety of having a very sick child and really took its toll on me, mentally and physically. Growing a baby probably prevented a quicker recovery, and added to the strain, too!

Thankfully, we seem to be on the road to recovery now. Callum is on antibiotics and seemed to be a bit more like himself today, finally! I still have a bit of a sore throat and I sound like a croaking frog when I talk, with a bit of upper resperatory pain yet. Stu is sniffing and has a bit of a cough. He always seems to recover quickest!

Anyways, that's what has been going on here. Hope everyone else had a happy and healthy Christmas! I hope to do some better updates soon.

Yikes, he looks terrible! What is the cause of that rash, just the cold? Poor guy, and poor Mom too, it's no fun having sick kids anyway, and it's 100x worse when you're sick too.
I hope you are all feeling much better soon.
And look, you have at least 5 readers!
And nice blog background.... copycat! :-)

There's a flu going on in our house that refuses to leave too. My mom had 2 rounds of it already (I'm still standing though, thankfully).

Poor little boy! and all of you, I wish you the quickest recovery!

Thanks, everyone! Hey, I do have more than one reader! ;) I hope we don't have to go through that again! What a miserable two weeks.
Sorry Lisa, I guess it's been a while since I've looked at yours. :) Yeah, the rash was from him wiping his snotty face with his sleeves over and over.
