A few minutes after Hailey was born the nurse put her under a heat-light. Imagine how bright any kind of light would be after spending your life in darkness! Birth must be so traumatic for them...
After I took these photos I put my hand above her eyes to shield them from the bright light. Then she opened them! (Now I can brag that I was the first to see them...:) )
Nate, you are such a blessing to Leanne, we are so glad you are in her (and Hailey's!) life! You were amazing in the delivery room, too. Congratulations to you both.
